Action Collection Agency of Boston (ACA) represents a true alternative to what is generally offered to today’s healthcare collection professionals. Large enough to access today's best collection and information technology, yet small enough to respond quickly to client demands and the challenges of an ever-changing marketplace, we offer today’s healthcare accounts receivable manager the best possible solution to his or her company’s collection needs.
Since we are unencumbered by layers of bureaucracy and armed with the latest collection tools, ACA frequently outperforms many of the larger healthcare collection agencies. This is also due to our unique blend of sensitivity and results-orientation; we understand the unique nature of healthcare debt. Because of this knowledge and experience, we are able to bring accounts to a successful resolution on your behalf with the minimal amount of disruption to the integrity of the patient, guarantor, or family. And we have been doing so since 1967.
The client base we service includes many of the larger health systems, medical facilities and physician networks, as well as smaller hospitals, group practices and clinics. Many of our original clients are still with us to this day, forty years later, still enjoying the quality of service, appreciation, and respect that they have come to expect from our agency.
Many of our management and staff have come to us directly from the healthcare industry, including ACA’s President, Jay E. Gonsalves, who holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. Jay is the past president of ACA International, Inc. (formerly the American Collectors Association), and also chaired its national healthcare services and interstate commerce committees. He is a past president of the New England Chapter of the American Collectors Association and current chairman of its legislative committee.
Our staff is skilled in all areas of third-party billing in order to secure payment from the appropriate payer. We have the ability to interface with third-party payers directly. This minimizes the amount of time and effort required for your staff to become involved in claims resolution on those accounts assigned for collections. We believe, as do many of our clients, that once an account is turned over to collections, the agency should be responsible for seeing to its conclusion.
